Excel 2013 for Dummies 1st Edition

It is really helpful and I have learned a lot from the book. I will have to say though, that, it is not the easiest book to look things up in but once they are located they explain solutions to the problem I am having very easy. I don't know if the two are connected or related in any way, but the little laminated "cheat sheet" I also purchased from Amazon is really great. It is very easy to use and provides a quick way to look things up.

Was exactly what I needed to bring me up to date on a program I hadn't touched in some 20+ years...yes, Excel has been around that long! Perfect for refreshing my older brain and unlocking long unused knowledge needed for accomplishing current work needed. Great go-to resource book. If you use Excel just on occasion like me...this is a must for quick lookup to get you headed in the right direction when you get stuck. A must have reference book!

I recently got a new job that uses spread sheets for everything. I thought I would brush up on EXCEL so I bought this. Silly me, thinking that 2013 meant the latest copywrite date and not the 2013 version, so it was not helpful to me. At work, we are still using EXCEL 2007 and will probably never change to 2013 since they will have to buy 1 million licenses to switch. So if you have EXCEL 2013, then the "For Dummies" format will probably help you. P.S. - since I waited too long to return it, I put it on Ebay and still couldn't get rid of it.

This book more than delivered what I had hoped for. I am a novice at Excel, but I like the Dummies books, they lay things out in an orderly fashion and take you where you need to go in I believe, a chronoligical fashion, enabling you to understand what you're trying to accomplish.The DVD was also quite helpful, as you get to see visually what is happening on the screen. Really , it went deeper than I thought it would....therefore, those that are intermediate would also benefit from this DVD and the book, which is far above where I'm at in my journey to learn Excel. Kudos for this purchase at less than $20.

Like all "Dummies" books this does what it advertises, and just what it advertises. It provides a solid overview of Excel for those who want to become basic users.
