Works really well, easy to use
The tool is great! It is top heavy as other reviewers have pointed out so I have to alternate arms and take breaks regularly. But it is very easy to use and I take it out and trim a 14 foot high wisteria bush on the side of my house often, whenever things start to get out of hand. If you’re familiar with Wisteria, you know that it seems to grow quickly and nonstop. This trimmereasily cuts through quarter inch thick branches and bunches of branches when they twist together. Really glad I purchased this.

Great Features Good Price BUT it's top heavy.
Purchased this to trim a Japanese Red Maple. The reach was perfect and the ability to both tilt and rotate the blade was welcomed! Like other reviews of this tool, it gets heavy after 5-10 mins of use! My shoulders woudln't continue workin after 15 minutes. I rigged up a shoulder strap and added a handle to the shaft which made handinling this at full extension much easier. Both a strap and handle should be included in the kit (other brands do include at least the shoulder strap). Bottom line, yes I'd recommend this trimmer. Good value for the price. You can pay much more but it you're not trimming tall hedges for a living, this tool will work great for the average home owner like me

A lifesaver
I love cordless battery operated yard tools. No more cords to drag around the yard or cut through. One down side is my hedge trimmer. I have some very tall hedges that I can only finish by standing on a ladder. At the very peak on them I have to do a long reach to get the last areas. It was doable with a corded trimmer, it was light enough to use one handed and do a long lean. But the battery one is too heavy. So, I bought this long handle one - amazing. On two tall stand alone Arbor Vitae I can do the tops from the ground, just extend pole and adjust the blade to the perpendicular. On the long hedge where I can't get to the far side (I'd have to go into my neighbors fenced yard, he's a nice guy but I feel weird hauling my whole rig over there). Now, I set up my ladder, extend the pole with the blade straight, and can do a nice safe two handed trip without leaning or hurting my back.

My husband loves this trimmer
My husband was looking for a long-handled hedge trimmer and I suggested this one, based on my satisfaction with another WORX yard tool that I bought for myself. He loves it! It is light enough for him to use for hours. The angle feature allows him to evenly trim long hedges even if they are tall. The battery also got kudos because holds an extended charge, enabling completion of several projects.

Be sure to get the one with the Power Share battery. Not all 20V 2.0Ah batteries are the same.
I gave 3 stars because it looks nice. That said - before I made my purchase, I did some checking for information about the battery it uses. I wanted to know if the Power Share 20V 2.0Ah battery is the same as just a 20V 2.0Ah battery (Li-Ion). The answer I received was "yes - they are interchangeable"..This morning, I opened the box and took everything out to look it over, read the guide, etc and I noticed that the connector for the batter is NOT the same. Just to make sure, I grabbed one of my Li-Ion 20V 2.0 Ah batteries and tried to connect it. Nope. No luck. So, as far as how the unit operates, etc., I cannot say because I am returning it. i paid ALMOST as much for this unit as it would cost me to buy a pair of Power Share 20V 2.0 Ah batteries. I can't see spending upwards of $250 for a hedge trimmer on a pole. I can barely justify spending as much as I did for the unit itself. So, back it goes.

An efficient, flexible tool for any rural small property owner. a great value for the price.
This is a great tool, I've had it about 10 days and cleared more underbrush working with the WORX trimmer than I thought possible. The flexible rake on the trimmer head allows the trimmer to conform to ditches, slopes and vines growing up trees with ease. I was dubious about the small 20 volt battery but it is more than strong enough to get the job done. The trimmer cuts through weeds, vines, and shoots of small trees trying to establish themselves on my 1 acre plus wooded property. In the past I've tried using sickles, machetes, loopers and even chain saws to try keeping underbrush at bay without exerting more labor than I'm willing to invest.

Works well, but heavy for me
This tool works well, but it VERY HEAVY for me. Coupled with the long reach from the trigger handle to the grip midway was a stretch also, making it difficult to maneuver if the branches give any resistance. Blade cuts well on most shrubs. If you are a smaller person like me this might not be the best trimmer tool for you.

It's for hedges.
Great unit. Goes together easy and I liked the simple operation of it. But keep in mind it is for elevated work. I attempted to use it to trim a ditch and found the leverage of that process made it very heavy in a remarkably short period of time. It's just not practical to use for lawn or ditch trimming. Within three minutes I was holding the trigger (handle) over my shoulder just to finish what I started. Still great and well made unit.
