Love it
This is awesome. Great way to get the kiddos to try their best. Very easy to use and read the display. Does seem bulky but works great. Wish it had some kind of string to star to your wrist but other then that 100% satisfied

Beginner Gun
Understand what this gun is before you purchase it. If you're looking for a radar that you can sit 30 rows up at a showcase and clock accurate numbers with, this is NOT your gun. This is not a gun for a pro scout, or someone who requires chronograph level accuracy. That being said, for 90 dollars, it gets the job done. As an owner of both this and a Pocket Radar Ball Coach, I can confirm that this gun is +/- 3mph with the Pocket Radar, under the condition that it is aimed precisely. The range is short, but if you can stand directly behind a pitcher, angling slightly downhill on the ball's plane, you will get an accurate reading much of the time. When you miss, you'll know as the reading will be well off. Hitting wise is where you will encounter the most issues. If you're trying to measure ball exit speed of a tee, you need to get on a knee, and aim the gun slightly up, so that the gun will be in line with where the ball will be hit. The battery lasts a long time, and there is no interface to learn, just point and pull the trigger. The gun is sturdy, and doesn't feel like you'll break it if you hold it wrong. All in all it's an excellent starting gun, and if you're buying this for your travel team, personal use, or just for fun, it will get the job done.

Do not trust Bushnell or the reliability of this product
Bushnell does not stand behind this product. Bushnell does not have good customer service. Amazon did a great job of getting me a refund for this after it stopped working for no reason after only 10 uses. I used it for clocking soccer ball kicks. The kids loved it and it is a great idea. It worked great, when I wasn't using it i kept it in a bag in the shade, dry and protected, with the battery cover removed so as not to waste battery since the screen always showed mph even when it was powered off. this item is not returnable on amazon so I had to work through Bushnell. They sent me a 2 day label after a phone call and then I waited weeks to finally get an email response where they offered me a 10% coupon off of a new purchase since they claimed that the gun had water damage. It did not ever get wet. They were trying to blame off the unreliability of their product on me. Money is not the issue here, when a company does not support their product, and blames a customer, that needs punitive damages. I gave them a chance to do the right thing and send me a replacement. The cost on this item is probably close to that of the shipping label that they sent me, they just lost a customer. Definitely buy from someone else. Thanks to Amazon for doing the right thing. They solved in 7 minutes what Bushnell couldn't do in 3 weeks. Meanwhile every day the kids kept asking me when the speed tester was going to be sent back.

Great tool to get some objective data on sports performance!
This is one of those gadgets that I have no real pressing need for, but is fun to play around with nonetheless. My kids love using it to get some objective measure of how hard they are kicking a soccer ball - really makes for fun backyard competition. I've also played around with it measure birds, cars, and other fast moving things. It is very accurate, provided you point the gun directly in line with the moving object. The greater the angle, the less accurate the gun becomes. You may be able to overcome this with some trigonometry, but I'm not sure the exact science behind the measurement technology, so I don't know if this would be effective. Also, an object needs to go at least 10mph to register and only measures in whole number increments. At this price point, though, it more than exceeds my needs an expectations!

Good baseball pitching throwing speed gun
I never write reviews, but for anybody who is interested I bought this to clock speeds for baseball pitching. I actually bought this as an experiment just to see how accurate it would be in this price range. This speed gun will read accurate velocities +/- 1mph. I tested this in multiple ways. First, a police speed check was placed outside my house, so I clocked cars and compared with the speeds on the speed check. Then I compared it to my Zooka Pitching machine and it was plus/minus 1 mph From the reading on the machine. My friend also used to be an MLB scout, and has a legitimate speed gun for testing pitches. He also had the tuning fork That they used to calibrate and check and validate the readings. Again, this gun was plus/minus 1 mph, sometimes exactly the same. He was pretty impressed with this gun. I have used this multiple times at 10U Little league practices, games, and have clocked adult friends who used to play in college and wanted to test how fast they could still throw. Overall, I think this is a great velocity gun for the price.

Easy to use - 10mph Inaccurate
Super easy to use and get the wrong speed because this thing is terribly inaccurate and off by as much as 10mph for an item that can’t be calibrated.Would not recommend.
