I've been using it for a month, and found it to be ideal in my 2006 Honda Civic. The dash mount accessory took some doing in installation, but that was mostly due to the unorthodox dashboard style of my car and not the product. The flexibility of choosing whether to place it on the dashboard or windshield comes in handy, depending on my needs (I change where I mount it based on how long I plan to be driving, for example). The "seat" for the mounting tab on your phone is adjustable for vertical (mostly phone calls) or horizontal (mostly navigation) display.I do recommend anyone getting this purchase a case that at least covers the back-end of your phone so that you can remove the case if the mounting tab is cumbersome wherever you store it. It was not in my case, but I did so anyway to preserve the casing of my phone from the adhesive.Bottom line: It locks in place firmly, phone is safely and securely cradled and there's no need to adjust arms or grips around the phone when you remove it. Just slide it in, drive and slide it out when done. Easy install and use, and customizable to individual needs.

Used it for a Scangauge II and it is perfect. Unlike my Garmin GPS mount, this one has stayed in place so far.
